Sustainability

Trinidad Hospitality Sdn Bhd is committed to operating in a way that is socially, ethically, and environmentally responsible across our portfolio of hotels and serviced residences in Malaysia. Sustainability is not a single initiative, but a shared standard guiding how every property in our group operates, regardless of brand.

We are currently working towards achieving Level 1 sustainability certification across our properties, focused on core practices in energy efficiency, waste management, and guest engagement. As we work towards this milestone, we invite our guests to be part of the journey by supporting the everyday practices we implement across our hotels:

We Practice Towel and Linen Reuse

Daily laundering of towels and bed linen consumes significant water, energy, and detergent. Across our properties, we encourage guests to reuse towels and linens during their stay, reducing unnecessary water and energy consumption while lowering the amount of detergent released into the environment. It’s a small choice that, multiplied across thousands of stays a year, makes a measurable difference.

We Use Interior Energy-Efficient Lighting

Our properties are progressively adopting energy-efficient LED lighting in guest rooms and common areas. LED lighting consumes significantly less power than conventional bulbs while lasting longer, reducing both energy usage and maintenance waste. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways our hotels lower their day-to-day environmental impact.

We Practice Recycling and Waste Management

Our properties implement recycling programs to responsibly manage paper, plastic, glass, and other recyclable materials generated through daily operations. By separating and recycling waste rather than sending it directly to landfills, we help reduce demand on raw materials and support more responsible resource use across the communities we operate in.

We Engage and Educate Our Guests

Sustainability works best as a shared effort. Our properties communicate simple, practical ways guests can reduce their environmental impact during their stay, from reusing towels and linens to conserving water and energy. We believe informed, engaged guests are essential partners in helping our hotels operate more responsibly.

We Educate and Train Our Teams

Our staff across every property receive ongoing education on sustainable operating practices, from waste management to energy conservation. Embedding these standards into daily training ensures sustainability is not an occasional effort, but a consistent part of how our teams run each property, every day.

We Track Utility and Resource Usage

Our properties monitor utility consumption, including energy and water usage, to identify opportunities for improvement over time. Tracking this data allows us to measure progress, address inefficiencies, and make informed decisions as we work toward reducing our environmental footprint across the group.
