Founded by YH Dato’ Sri Naresh Mohan, Trinidad Hospitality is about our legacy of excellence in the Malaysian hospitality landscape.

Initially, the journey began in 2002 under the name Trinidad Holdings, where the company established itself as a premium distributor of Cuban cigars.

In addition to our foundational success, 2019 marked a pivotal milestone when we became the official hospitality arm of MAA Group Berhad.

Consequently, this strategic move positioned us as a highly trusted provider of hospitality management solutions across the region.

Notably, our group utilises an asset-light business model, which actively supports flexibility, scalability, and sustainable growth.

Moving forward, we officially unified our identity on 24th September 2025 by transitioning from Hospitality 360 Sdn. Bhd. to Trinidad Hospitality Sdn. Bhd. Ultimately, this rebranding reinforces a cohesive corporate vision across our entire portfolio.

About our Leadership

Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra
Executive Chairman

Since MAA Group Berhad’s inception in November 1998, Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra served as its Director. He was appointed as the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer in 1999.

Subsequently, he was re-designated as Executive Chairman of the Company in 2008 and currently holds the position of Executive Chairman of MAA Group Berhad (“MAAG”), Mycron Steel Berhad (“MSB”), Melewar Industrial Group Berhad (“MIG”) and KNM Group Berhad (“KNM”).

The executive chairman graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Economics and Accounting from City University, London.

An accountant by training, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

With over 30 years of management experience, Dato’ Sri Naresh Mohan focuses on growth and delivery strong ROI to stakeholders. Under his leadership, he has successfully developed high-performing assets.

Since 1992, he has developed Trinidad Hospitality into a multi-business group with hotel, F&B, logistics, ID & renovations, Ai travel app, loyalty program, and cigar operations.

He was appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Consulate of Monaco in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in September 2023 by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Tan Sri Dato' Sri Affendi Buang
Strategic Advisor

A distinguished Malaysian military leader, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Affendi Buang served as the 21st Chief of Defence Force and the 18th Chief of Air Force.

With a remarkable 40 years of service in the Malaysian Armed Forces before retiring in September 2023. Having gained extensive experience in strategic planning, resource management, and operational efficiency.

Hailing from Kuching, Sarawak, he is renowned for his visionary leadership, strategic foresight, and operational expertise.

Throughout his military career, General Tan Sri Affendi’s leadership was crucial in modernizing Malaysia’s armed forces, strengthening traditional defence while addressing emerging security threats.
